Datapath RSN870-1 IP Render Station IP render station with 1 x processor supporting up to 16 decode channels PRODUCT OVERVIEW The RSN870 IP Render Station can decode numerous IP video streams, such as in IP based CCTV systems. The RSN870 can be configured from 1 to 3 render processors and multiple render stations can be used with a single Datapath Display Wall Controller, making the system scalable and cost effective. The RSN870 can be configured to support between 16 and 240 simultaneous IP video streams on a single display wall. This easy to install Render Station is configured to manage systems with 100’s and 1000’s of IP streams for display in a control room, making it ideal for applications such as intelligent traffic management centres, public utility control centres and other control room environments. SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE The RSN870 is housed in a single standard 4U rack mounted chassis which can accommodate up to 3 video decoding SBC2 single board computers. The SBC2 features an Intel Core i7 processor, with 8GB of memory. The Render Station consists of an SBC2 and a graphics card. The graphics outputs of each Render Processor connects to the DVI inputs on a display controller. Theconfiguration and management of the Render Station is integrated into Datapath's video wall management software, Wall Control. CUSTOMISATION An adaptable system, allowing you to add more render systems as your requirement for more IP camera streams increases. Three versions are available supporting either16, 32 or 48 decode channels. For ultimate flexibility the Datapath RSN870 Render Station support multiple system configurations providing between 16 and 240 IP streams in a single video wall. RELIABILITY The RSN870 is built on industrial PC technology for reliability, high availability and professional applications. The Datapath Render Station has been engineered to provide high quality decoded IP video reliably and efficiently, offering the user full confidence in displaying the correct stream and the right time. Through Datapath’s software application Wall Control-red it is possible to monitor each render station status, ensure the system is working correctly. SOFTWARE The Render Station is compatible with Datapath’s Wall Control-red application software installed on the Wall Controller, which configures each Render Station via a local network. Once set up the rendered IP streams are exported, as video, by connecting the outputs from the graphics card to the Vision capture cards installed in the Wall Controller. The connection is made via a DVI Dual Link cable. Wall Control-red automatically extracts each IP video window from captured DVI data enabling each IP video window to be displayed individually anywhere on the desktop. The decoded IP streams are displayed on the video wall with any other input to the display controller and is managed through the integrated user interface of Wall Control. Datapath’s Wall Control-red video wall software is designed to make full use of Datapath’s graphics and capture hardware technology and maximises the use of available hardware acceleration both on video inputs and outputs. Wall Control-red video wall software allows advanced interactive desktop control and configuration, interactively opening, moving, sizing and positioning video overlay, RGB/ DVI/ SD/ HD windows and Microsoft Windows application software.
